How are gardens characterized?

Each community garden is unique in order to meet the needs of its community. A garden tends to be focused around one type of activity, but often includes two or more functions. Gardens in the directory are characterized as either

1) Youth gardens provide an educational setting for youth, or
2) Food production gardens provide individual plots for growing plants or food, or
3) Beautification gardens beautify their neighborhood, or
4) Education gardens demonstrate sustainable landscaping techniques.

Gardens in the directory are those that requested to be listed. Please fill out the survey (WORD or PDF) to have your garden on the directory.
